Kewaunee Senior Village, completed in June 2009 offers affordable housing to individuals age 55 and older.
One of the major challenges facing low- and moderate-income households in central Wisconsin is the lack of adequate and affordable housing. The vacancy rate in three of the five counties served by CAP, Marquette, Waupaca and Waushara, is less than two percent, and the rate of substandard housing in four of the counties, Marquette, Portage, Waupaca and Waushara, is higher than the state average rate. CAP offers several housing programs to address these problems.
